17 Gold Medals: Uzbekistan’s Young Canoeists Dominate Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Asian Canoe Sprint Championships for juniors (under 18) and U23 athletes have concluded in Pattaya, Thailand, with Uzbekistan emerging as the top-performing nation.

According to the National Olympic Committee, the Uzbek team was represented by 28 athletes who delivered a stellar performance and proudly upheld the nation’s honor on the international stage.

Uzbekistan confidently secured first place in the overall team standings in both age categories. The team claimed a total of 17 gold, 11 silver, and 6 bronze medals — the highest medal count of the entire tournament.
