Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Tashkent, a 16-year-old schoolboy driving a BMW M4 struck an officer of the Road Patrol Service.

The incident occurred around 21:45 on Nukus Street. The inspector sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.

The moment of impact was captured on video from inside the car. The footage shows the vehicle making a sudden maneuver and hitting the inspector as he attempted to stop the offender.

Earlier, the car had appeared in social media videos showing nighttime drifting and dangerous driving stunts.

Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan, reported that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 266 of the Criminal Code — violation of traffic safety rules resulting in grievous bodily harm.

Punishment under this article can include a fine of up to 50 base units with a driving ban of up to three years, or restriction of freedom, or imprisonment for up to three years.
