16 New Buses Arrive in Urgench for Urban Routes
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sixteen modern buses have arrived in Urgench as part of measures to develop public transportation in Khorezm region.
The delivery is being carried out in line with the objectives outlined in Presidential Decree No. PP-59 of February 16, 2023, aimed at improving the quality of transport services for residents.
The process of updating the regional bus fleet continues systematically.
Specifically, Opel-Trans acquired 16 modern ASIASTAR buses manufactured in the People’s Republic of China. The new buses are planned to be assigned to urban routes within Urgench and will operate under gross-contract terms.
At the same time, efforts are underway to improve suburban passenger transport. In the Koshkupyr district, Zargar Voha Trans purchased 12 JAC Sunray minibuses, and Asil Javohir Bek acquired five similar minibuses in the Khanki district.
The new vehicles will be used on suburban route taxis, enhancing comfort, safety, and regularity of passenger transportation in the Khorezm region.
