Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first quarter of 2021, 15,700 tons of fish were caught in Uzbekistan. This figure grew by 2.5% compared to the same period of last year.
About 1,100 tons of fight was caught in Karakalpakstan, 1,700 tons – in Andijan region, 1,100 tons – in Bukhara region, 2,500 tonnes in Jizzakh region, 356.9 tons – in Kashkadarya region, 1,600 tonnes in Navoi region.
Fishers from Namangan region caught 316 tons of fish, Samarkand region - 199.9 tons, Surkhandarya region - 321.1 tons, Syrdarya region – 1,000 tons, Tashkent region – 2,600 tons, Ferghana region – 1,100 tons and Khorezm – 1,800 tons.
