150 ambulance of Ford model handed over Tashkent emergency aid service

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – About 150 of the most modern reanimation vehicles of the Ford brand, brought from abroad for use in the ambulance service, were handed over to Tashkent medical services.

Now, along with the transfer of these fully equipped machines, the field of emergency medical service in our country is moving into a completely new innovative, high-quality system that fully meets all international requirements.

The provision of emergency and first medical care is an important area of modern medicine. The modern medical system created in our country in this direction is being improved from year to year. Over the past three years, a number of decrees and resolutions of the President have been adopted to develop this sphere, and the legal foundations of this system have been improved.

The special ambulance fleet of the ambulance service has been updated. For 2017-2018, for the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, 1,500 new specialized ambulances were bought for the ambulance service. As a result, today in this system the population serves about 2,500 modern ambulances.

In recent years, funds allocated to the ambulance service have increased significantly. In particular, the price of medicines for one ambulance call in the country increased almost ten times and reached 5,800 soums.

In addition, the deployment of ambulance crews was revised, close to the places of population. Today, ambulance strongholds are organized in 844 rural family clinics. As a result, the radius of the services of ambulance crews decreased from 15-20 to 8-12 kilometers. Now in our country, every 13 thousand people is serviced by one ambulance.
