Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 7 and 8 November 2019, more than 200 German language teachers from schools and universities from all over Uzbekistan will meet in order to improve their skills and exchange experiences, the German Embassy in Uzbekistan reports.
The conference of German language teachers, which will be held for 13 times, is organized by the German Embassy in Tashkent, together with lecturers working in Uzbek universities, the Goethe Institute (GI), the German Association of People’s Universities (DVV) and the Central Office of Schools Abroad (ZfA) . The conference will also be attended by guests from Germany and Austria.
The event will open on 7 November at 09.00 a podium discussion, which will be attended by representatives of the ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan in charge of education.
Within two days, practical seminars on various topics will be offered. Seminars will be led by speakers from Germany, Austria and Uzbekistan, who will present a wide range of topics for learning German.
For teachers participating in the conference, this is always a chance to exchange experiences and take part in discussing the development of their subject within the framework of the Association of German Language Teachers of Uzbekistan.
This year, the event will be held in Tashkent in the building of the Academic Lyceum at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, which is supported by the Federal Republic of Germany as part of the Schools: Partners of the Future initiative.
German as a foreign language occupies an important and qualitatively high place in Uzbekistan and therefore is still popular among schoolchildren and students.
