12-Year-Old Detained for Driving Without a License in Turtkul District
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A 12-year-old boy was detained by road patrol officers for driving a Lacetti car without a license, as seen in a video circulating on social media. The vehicle had so-called “fancy” license plates.
Footage shows the boy behaving defiantly, and when asked by an inspector about his father’s whereabouts, he replied: “He’ll come soon, you’ll understand.”
The incident occurred on 1 October in Turtkul District. The boy’s father was called to the scene, where officers asked him to sign an administrative protocol.
However, the man refused to acknowledge responsibility and attempted to negotiate with law enforcement. As a result, a protocol was drawn up against him under Part 2, Article 135 of the Administrative Code (operation of a vehicle by a person without proper documents), and the car was impounded.
