1067 buses of various brands to be launched tomorrow in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the decision of the special republican commission “On the preparation of a program of measures to prevent the importation and spread of coronavirus in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, from 8 June, it is determined to restore the activity of bus routes in the regions included in the “yellow” and "green" zones, including in the city of Tashkent.

To date, 152 bus routes (135 of which relate to bus fleets and 17 to private enterprises) are attached to 16 automobile enterprises (8 of which are bus fleets and 8 are private carriers) as part of Toshshahartanskhizmat. On these routes it is planned to put into operation a total of 1230 buses (1121 in bus fleets and 109 in private enterprises).

Based on the requirements of the protocol decision of the special commission, from 8 June 2020, 1067 buses of various brands (Mercedes-Benz, MAN, SAZ and Isuzu) will be put into operation by auto enterprises as part of Toshshahartranskhizmat JSC.

In accordance with the decision of the special commission, due to the fact that the Kibray, Tashkent and Zangiata districts of Tashkent region are declared a “red” zone, 21 bus routes are attached to automobile enterprises (number 8t, 9, 16, 25, 42, 56, 65, 74, 84, 101, 103, 115, 120, 134, 135, 144, 145, 148, 188, 198, 199) in the direction of the above areas, will not work temporarily.

In order to ensure the continuity of passenger transportation, the activities of 3 (routes 75, 106,160) bus routes will be organized only in the city of Tashkent, not reaching Tashkent region.

According to the protocol decision of the Special Commission, the movement of routes with restored activities will be organized from 6:00 to 22:00.

The heads of all bus fleets will organize double-shift duty at the final stops of the routes.

At the final stops of the routes, buses will regularly be completely disinfected before each departure.

Drivers will be provided with medical masks and gloves, which will be regularly and timely changed.

Only passengers wearing medical masks will be allowed into the bus rooms.
