Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is taking prompt and decisive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Our doctors work around the clock to effectively treat patients with this infection. This was reported by the public relations department of the Ministry of Health.
For the first time in a clinic of the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in the capital, 10 patients with coronavirus infection fully recovered. The Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov and other officials took them to the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation.
Among the recovered, 3 men and 7 women. Of these, 6 are from the capital, 3 from Tashkent region and 1 from Samarkand region. Two of the patients on 28 March arrived in Tashkent from Turkey on a charter flight. The remaining eight were in contact with patients with coronavirus and became infected. The oldest of them is 62 years old, and the youngest is 5 years old. After effective treatment, recent laboratory studies have shown that they have fully recovered. The solidarity, professionalism and experience of the staff of this clinic played a decisive role in this process.
It is important to note that in a situation where the coronavirus pandemic is a serious test for the whole world, the population is trying to overcome difficulties through solidarity, the perseverance and dedication of medical workers deserve special attention. They prove again and again that coronavirus infection can be effectively treated.
To date, 99 people have been cured of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan.
