Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The medical association of Almazar district of Tashkent began to vaccinate the population with the Sputnik Light vaccine, produced in the Russian Federation.
Since April 2021, Sputnik has also been delivering from Russia. A batch of 12 thousand doses of the Sputnik Light vaccine was delivered to Uzbekistan on 12 October; it is received by citizens of the country who go to work in Russia as part of a pilot program to bring 10 thousand labor migrants from Uzbekistan to construction sites in the Russian Federation.
Sputnik Lite is a light version of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, which does not require a second dose of the drug. The vaccine was developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamaleya. The Sputnik Lite coronavirus vaccine was registered by the Russian Ministry of Health on March 29, 2021.
