Entrepreneurs can draw up the necessary documents for export-import operations without leaving the office

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A press conference was held at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications with the participation of officials of the State Customs Committee on the customs information system Single Window.
At the event, issues related to the implementation of the President’s decree “On measures to further improve the business environment and improve the business support system in the country” were discussed.
According to the resolution, from February 1, 2020, it was envisaged to introduce the procedure for issuing permits and certificates necessary for export-import operations through the Single Window customs information system. However, the system was launched on January 1, 2020.
It should be noted that the automated information systems of authorized bodies, such as the State Customs Committee, Uzstandart Agency, the Ministry of Health, the State Committee for Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Development, the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, the Uzgoskarantin inspection, are integrated into the customs information system Single window system.
According to the deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee, Bakhtiyor Rakhimov, “Single Window” is a management philosophy within which traditional management structures will be transformed into new mechanisms that optimally meet the needs of citizens and businesses.
“Our goal is to create a single interface for the exchange of information between authorized bodies and participants of foreign economic activity,” said the head of departments Nurbek Salomov. - An integrated information system and relevant databases will allow participants in foreign trade operations to receive government services on the basis of the One-stop use of services (in one place).
Simply put, now entrepreneurs, without leaving their offices, through the Single Window customs information system, using electronic digital signatures, can apply for documents and certificates that permit export-import operations.
Documents and certificates provided in response to the application through the same portal will be simultaneously presented to other interested structures for customs clearance.
It is reported that at present more than 4,700 participants in foreign economic activity have already used the Single Window customs information system.
