Russia and Uzbekistan conclude several agreements on military-technical cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 May 2019, the 15th meeting of the Russian-Uzbek intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation was held in Samarkand (Uzbekistan), the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation said in a statement.
The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation D.Ye. Shugaev and the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Defense Industry A.S. Ibadullayev.
The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the framework of the implementation of the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the development of military-technical cooperation on November 29, 2016.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the further development of military-technical cooperation and outlined concrete steps to implement the agreements reached.
Following the meeting, a Protocol was signed, a number of contracts were concluded under the Treaty.
The next meeting is scheduled in the Russian Federation in 2020.
