Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan establishes an NGO club

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A "Club of non-governmental non-profit organizations" was created on a public basis under the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.
The main goal of the club is to promote cooperation between non-governmental non-profit organizations in the field of women, create a coordination network, disseminate their positive experience, as well as coordinate social services, increase the role of NGOs in matters of women and children. It is reported by the press service of the Women’s Committee.
The main goals of the club are to identify areas of activity of NGOs working in the field, and their unification on the basis of working methods, improving the social and political activity of women, as well as increasing the share of NGOs in solving social problems.
Thanks to the new concept, it is expected to improve the mechanisms of cooperation between non-governmental non-profit organizations, to gain many years of experience, work in cooperation with other public organizations that have good work experience.
Currently, there are 9,697 non-state non-profit organizations in Uzbekistan, of which 376 deal with women’s issues.
