Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, a delegation of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan is in Germany, participating in the project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) "Improving the skills of medical and technical personnel to work on modern high-tech medical equipment in Uzbekistan."
On 19 February, a working group meeting was held in the city of Hamburg, where the delegation from Uzbekistan held a presentation on the theme “New concept of development in the medical sector of Uzbekistan for 2019-2025”.
Speakers noted that with the approval of the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On comprehensive measures to fundamentally improve the health care system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of the Health System Development Concept of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2025, the country’s health care system is being transferred to a completely new health care management and financing system.
The official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in January 2019 to the Federal Republic of Germany was one of the significant events in the foreign policy life of our country. During the visit, agreements were reached in various fields. Uzbekistan and Germany have agreed to implement joint projects worth more than 8 billion euros. Today, the partnership between the two countries is being strengthened and progressively expanding in the field of health. This is reported by the information service of the Ministry of Health.
In our country, special attention is paid to addressing the growing demand for high-quality medical services in order to ensure the availability of modern advanced health technologies. Despite the availability of high-tech medical equipment, the lack of qualified personnel in health care may affect the quality of the services provided. Therefore, together with the acquisition of modern technologies for medicine, it is important to timely train specialists for their effective use.
The study tour of the group from Uzbekistan within the framework of the project of the German Society for International Cooperation and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan is aimed at increasing the capacity of health workers and technical staff of our country in the use of advanced modern medical technologies, as well as equally to ensure quality and improve leadership in the activities procurement, logistics and maintenance in selected clinical areas.
As part of the project, more than 2,500 medical and technical specialists working in the health sector of Uzbekistan have been trained to date.
They also talked about the measures taken to optimize the processes in the field of emergency medical care, the preparation of contracts for the export and import of high technologies in the health sector of Uzbekistan. In addition, our specialists noted that representatives of the two countries need to cooperate in the development of medicine, it is important to master the German medicine model, where health care and high technologies in this area are developed.
During the trip, which will last until 27 February, specialists from the Ministry of Health and its subordinate institutions will also be informed about the principles of hospital management, health financing issues, and medical technology management within the German health system, study the work of medical institutions in this country, and communication with manufacturers of medical equipment in the field of education and service.
