Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan signs agreements with defense bodies of Azerbaijan and Belarus
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 October, the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan signed plans for military cooperation with the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Belarus for 2019.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, the head of the defense department of Uzbekistan Abdusalom Azizov signed the documents during a meeting with the ministers of defense of Armenia, Belarus and Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan and Belarus signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of military topography, geodesy, cartography and navigation, conducting joint exercises and the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel.
Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan intend to exchange experience in the field of military education. Also, the Uzbek military will take part in international exercises in Azerbaijan as observers.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of cooperation in the field of defense and military education, and also exchanged views on strengthening ties in the military-technical direction.
