Uzbekiston Havo Yollari launches another new terminal

A new passenger terminal with a capacity of 400 passengers per hour was put into operation at the International Airport Nukus.
This is another project implemented by Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) with the support of the country’s leadership in order to enhance the tourism potential of the republic, provide better service to air passengers and modernize the ground infrastructure of airports in Uzbekistan.
The new terminal is equipped with the latest equipment, which will allow passengers and their luggage to be serviced in accordance with international standards. The building has modern engineering and technological equipment to ensure a high level of aviation security.
Also, zones for pre-flight control and baggage allowance have been expanded, and the number of check-in counters has been increased. There are also halls for local and international airlines, rooms of mother and child, health center, currency exchange offices, souvenir shops, cafe-bar and other amenities.
When developing the design of the new terminal, climatic conditions of the area were taken into account. In it, a balance is achieved between technology, safety and comfort. Due to increased capacity and speed of service, the terminal will contribute to the improvement of service and comfort for passengers, and, of course, the opening of new destinations, attraction of tourists and foreign air carriers.
International Airport Nukus is able to take almost all types of aircraft and helicopters. The length of the runway is 3,000 meters, width - 45 meters. At the aerodrome, modern light-signal and air navigation equipment meeting international standards has been installed.
