Tashkent hosts Days of Oracle

Oracle, one of leading IT-companies of the world, hosted Oracle Academy Student Day event and Oracle Day business conference in Tashkent on 28-29 March.
The Oracle Days in Uzbekistan covered three major areas of the company’s activities: presentation of best practices and technologies to customers, building up expertise of partners and educational initiative.
On 28 March, the Oracle Academy Student Day was held at Inha University in Tashkent, which was attended by over 150 students from Inha University in Tashkent and Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Mukhammad Al-Khorazmiy (TUIT).
Top manager of the Oracle Academy program in EMEA and CIS region briefed the participants about the opportunities provided by Oracle to educational institutions. During the event, the students learned about the labor market requirements in Uzbekistan, and also listened to the presentation about one of the most topical areas of IT - "Basics of Information Security". From the report, students learned about the basic principles of providing information security, as well as new directions, such as the use of machine learning technologies and large data the timely detection of attacks and response to them.
"The mission of the Oracle Academy program is to spread knowledge and promote innovation and development of technological skills around the world," Dani Gooris, head of Oracle Academy’s program in EMEA region, said. Oracle Day business conference was held in the capital of Uzbekistan on 29 March, during which more than 200 IT managers of leading companies of the country got acquainted with all modern IT trends and also looked into the future of technology.

The conference program covered the latest innovations and solutions for modernizing the IT infrastructure, allowing each manager to change business in the Digital age. Oracle experts shared the practice of reducing costs by transferring workloads to the cloud.
Participants received information about Oracle Database, Oracle Exadata Database Machine platform, Oracle security products, etc.
The Oracle Days program also included Oracle Partner Day for key partners and distributors in the region.
