Embassy works on returning bodies of fire victims from Russia to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 July 2017, employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow took part in the activities of the investigative bodies of St. Petersburg to identify the bodies of seven Uzbek citizens, who died in the result of the fire in Kolpino city.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, work on registration of death certificates is now being completed.
Work is also underway to prepare documents for obtaining permits for transportation of the bodies and measures are being taken to send the bodies to Uzbekistan.
Uzbek Embassy maintains regular contacts with the relatives of the victims and the relevant structures of St. Petersburg and Kolpino for the prompt resolution of emerging issues.
