Agreement on interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan enters into force

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Kazakhstan on interregional cooperation entered into force on 15 July 2017, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The agreement on interregional cooperation was signed on 23 March 2017 in Astana within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the document, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan intend to expand and develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions in the trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, in the areas of agriculture, health, employment, tourism and environmental protection, as well as in other areas of mutual interest .
