Uzbekistan and Belarus discuss protection of state borders

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Chairman of the National Security Service - Commander of the Border Forces of the National Security Service of Uzbekistan Major-General Rustam Eminjanov held a meeting with the Chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus Major General Anatoly Lappo in Minsk and Brest on 11-14 July 2017.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus within the framework of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops of the CIS (CCBT) member states and in a bilateral format.
The sides exchanged information on state of the situation on the state border of the two countries, current trends in its development, as well as threats and problematic issues, which affect the state of border security.
The heads of the border agencies the need to continue cooperation within the framework of the CCBT and in a bilateral format with the aim of exchanging experience in border protection and improving the border infrastructure.
The delegation of Uzbekistan visited the road crossing point "Peschatka" on the Belarusian-Polish border. The delegation of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the peculiarities of the organization of border control at this checkpoint and its infrastructure.
Representatives of Uzbekistan also got acquainted with the activity of the frontier post "Kazimirovo" of the Brest frontier group. Here, Uzbek specialists received information about the infrastructure of the post.
The delegation also visited the Center for Training of Border Guard Specialists of the Border Guard Institute, where the Uzbek specialists got acquainted with its capabilities, infrastructure and procedures for organizing training for border control personnel.
