President of Uzbekistan receives Russian Interior Minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held negotiations with the Minister of Interior Affairs of Russia Vlarimir Kolokoltsev on 23 May.
The meeting was held in Tashkent within the framework of the working visit of the Russian Interior Affairs Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, Vladimir Kolokoltsev said that relations between Uzbekistan and Russia are developing stably and gradually.
“At present, relations between Russia and Uzbekistan include all areas of political, socio-economic cooperation, including in the field of law enforcement,” he said.
During the talks, Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted importance of the signed Protocol on cooperation between the ministries of interior affairs of the two states.
The protocol was signed on 23 May 2017 in Tashkent. The document will effectively coordinate cooperation of ministries in all areas of joint operational activities.
“This document meets modern realities of combating the most dangerous types of international crime and will allow us to move to a new level of practical interaction between law enforcement agencies of our states,” Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsov said.
