Uzbek, Japanese Foreign Ministers hold meeting in Ashgabat

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 April, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Fumio Kishida.
The meeting was held in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan). The delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Abdulaziz Kamilov arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Sixth Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Dialogue “Central Asia plus Japan”.
The ministers discussed the state and prospectus of further development of interstate relations, including in the format of the Dialogue “Central Asia plus Japan”.
Abdulaziz Kamilov and Fumio Kisida confirmed the interest of Uzbekistan and Japan in building mutually beneficial strategic partnership in various fields, filling it with practical content, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The parties noted the interest in implementing joint high-tech investment projects with the participation of Japanese companies.
The foreign ministers of the two countries discussed some international and regional problems.
Special attention was paid to the schedule of upcoming Uzbek-Japanese contacts at various levels.
