Uzbek Labour Minister receives World Bank mission

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Labour of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov received a mission of the World Bank led by Afra Al-Ahmadi for discussion of the project “Expanding work places and improving skills in the context of modern economy”.
The meeting was aid at expanding consultations on concept of the project, improving access to financial services by small and medium businesses and work of labour services.
During the meeting, the mission received information on implemented measures on developing small and private businesses in Uzbekistan, proving jobs to unemployed.
The World Bank delegation expressed gratitude for cooperation and hospitality. The mission members highly rates reforms in Uzbekistan, including the field of developing of small and medium businesses, as well creation of jobs.
The sides said that the project will help to stabilize labour market via providing educational courses and better state services in the field of labour, improving efficiency of services in the labour market, simplifying access to financial and non-financial services to small and medium entrepreneurships.
