Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan took the 83rd place in the Visa Restrictions Index, which was published by Henley & Partners.
The Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index is a global ranking of countries according to the travel freedom that their citizens enjoy. For more than a decade, Henley & Partners has analyzed global visa regulations to present an index ranking each country and territory in the world by the number of countries that their citizens can travel to visa-free.
The Index is produced in cooperation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest database of travel information, and is published annually.
According to the index, citizens of Uzbekistan can visit 53 counties without visas.
Even after losing visa-free admission to one country, Germany holds on to its top spot on the index for the second year running with access to 176 countries in total. Sweden also remains static in second place with 175 countries, and Denmark, Finland, Italy, Spain and the US jointly rank third, with their nationals enjoying access to 174 countries without a visa.
Syria, Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan sit at the very bottom of the Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index, each with visa-free access to less than 30 countries worldwide.
