Flag of Uzbekistan raised in Paralympic Village of London

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A state flag of Uzbekistan was raised at in Paralympic Village in Rio de Janeiro on 7 September 2016.

Athletes from Uzbekistan, coaches, representatives of the Brazilian Government and administration of Rio de Janeiro, as well as others participated at the event.

About 32 athletes from Uzbekistan will participate in the Paralympic Games. They will compete for medals in five sports – judo, athletics, swimming, shooting and power-lifting. Some 12 athletes will compete in athletics – jewelling, shot put and running.
