Uzbekistan to launch three textile plants for US$10m

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will complete implementation of several investment projects on the eve of 23rd anniversary of the Constitution (8 December), within which it is planned to launch new textile plants.
According to UzA, Uzbekyengilsanoat will complete realization of three projects with total estimated cost of over US$10 million.
In the result of launch of these enterprises, Uzbekyengilsanoat is planning to additionally receive 3,500 tonnes of cotton yarn and 4.5 million units of ready products a year.
In particular, the project on the base of Maxim Gold will be completed in Tashkent region. The project with the cost of US$7 million envisages production of 3,500 tonnes of cotton yarn a year.
Lemon International (Hong Kong) is completing a project with the cost of US$2.4 million on the base of bankrupt enterprise Bobur in Andijan region. The enterprise will produce 1 million units of knitted products a year
Another project is implemented in Jizzakh region on the base of machine-tractor fleet Dustlik. The project cost is US$600,000. The enterprise will produce 3.5 million units of products a year.
