Uzbekistan to complete realization of 164 investment projects in 2016

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to complete 164 projects with total cost of over US$5.9 billion in 2016, Sputnik news agency reported quoting the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Rustam Azimov.
He said that Uzbekistan plans to use investments for over US$2.3 billion in 2016 to complete these projects.
Uzbekiston Temir Yollari will complete a project on construction of electrified railway Angren Pap with the cost of US$1.7 billion in April 2016.
South Korean consortium Daewoo and Hyundai will complete construction of new combined cycle power plant with the capacity of 370 megawatt at Talimarjan power station with the cost of US$920 million.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari will receive two Boeing-800 Dreamliner airplanes in 2016 with the cost of US$246 million.
GM Uzbekistan will launch serial production of automobile on the platform T250 (Chevrolet Aveo). The project cost is about US$104.2 million.
According to the Government estimates, Uzbekistan plans to realize 158 projects for US$7.4 billion in 2015.
