Uzbekistan plans to commission two gold ore mines

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to launch two mine ore fields – Pistali and Urtalik – in Central Kyzylkum in near future, Sputnik agency reported citing source at State Geology Committee of the country.
He said that the reserves of these two mines were approved by the State commission on reserves of national resources under the Government. Currently, the preparation works are under way to commission them.
The source said that Uzbekistan mined 83 tonnes of gold in Uzbekistan. The country holds the tenth place on gold reserves and 11th place on mining.
Kyzylkum, Samarkand and Pritashkent geology-economic areas make up main gold ore base of Uzbekistan.
Currently, the country carries out industrial development of Adjibugut field with several tens of tonnes of gold.
Uzbekistan opened several new gold ore field in last 20 years, including Yangi Davon, Biricnh Sentyabr, Jeylas, Rohat, Pistali, Altinkazgan, Samarchuk, Kayragach, etc.
