Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In May 2015, erection of ball mills manufactured by PJSC „TYAZHMASH” started at one of the largest mining and metallurgical enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan, JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK MMC).
Two drums of mills MShTs 5800×8100 have already been assembled and installed on the foundations. Preparations and arrangements are carried out actively for installation of the drive units. At the same time, the body of the drum of the third largest mill, MMPS 9500×5400, is being mounted. Considering the enormity of the project, all site works are conducted under constant supervision of the specialists from Syzran.
The project is implemented by PJSC „TYAZHMASH” on a turnkey basis. The company is a general contractor and designer regarding reconstruction of the crushing workshop of the copper processing factory in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Under the contract signed in October 2012, the company has manufactured and supplied three ore-grinding mills, automated conveying complex, and other technological items to the customer. Capacity of equipment supplied by PJSC „TYAZHMASH” will ensure processing of 7 million tons of copper ore per year.
Two mills of MShTs type 5800×8100 distinguished by large dimensions are designed for the second stage of grinding. The third mill, MMPS 9500×5400, is one of the largest in its standard series; it is equipped with modern highly-automated dual-motor drive (power of each motor is 5000 kW). This significantly facilitates maintenance of the mill, makes drive more compact, and essentially decreases the cost of product.
Automated conveying complex consists of nine conveyors with total length of 1200 meters. Two of the conveyors (length of 460 meters each) will operate at slope; the slope height is 11 meters and the conveyor path is complicated.
During 2014, two mills of MShTs 5800×8100 type and a significant part of auxiliary equipment were shipped to the facility. Having shipped the last mill (MMPS 9500×5400) and automated conveying complex to the facility, the company completed shipment under the project in October 2014.
Completion of all three mill complexes assembling is scheduled in November 2015. The copper processing factory is planned to be put into operation at the end of 2015.
