Small enterprises can increase number of workers by 50%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Small enterprises and microfirms in Uzbekistan can increase maximum number of employees by 50%.
The changes were introduced to the article 5 of the law “On guarantees of freedom of entrepreneurship activity”. In line with amendments, small enterprises and micrfirms can increase maximum number of employees by 50% if they hire graduates of professional colleges, academic lyceums and higher educational establishments (20%).
At the same time, this rule will be implemented if the graduate was employed within three years after graduation.
The Government also provided preferences to graduates of the colleges. The college graduates will receive tax preferences if they open their own business as individual entrepreneur.
From 2015, they will be exempted from payment of fixed tax within six months from the date of registration. If the individual entrepreneurs close its business within 12 months after registration, they will have to pay tax for all period of their activities.
