Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency under the Office of Prime Minister of Turkey (TIKA) Serdar Çam is paying visit to Uzbekistan, the press service of Embassy of Turkey in Uzbekistan said.
The diplomatic mission noted that Serdar Çam arrived in Uzbekistan on 25 October 2014. The delegation led by Serdar Çam visited Samarkand and Bukhara, where its members familiarized with historic monuments and other sights.
On 27 October 2014, head of TIKA held negotiations with Minister of Healthcare of Uzbekistan Anvar Alimov.
TIKA President also participated in the opening of the Center for transplantation of stem cells of the bone marrow in the Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, which was created with assistance of TIKA. He also opened Turkish language class at the Uzbek State University of World Languages.
Serdar Çam held negotiations with representatives of international Charity Fund “Soglom Avlod Uchun”. The sides considered issues of developing cooperation between two organization and implementation of joint projects.
On 28-29 October, TIKA President Serdar Çam will participate in international conference “Development of cooperation in the Aral Sea Basin to mitigate consequences of environmental catastrophe”, which started its work in Urgench.
