Russia offers Uzbekistan to make stop-over flights in Sochi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia offered to Uzbekistan to make stop-over during flights to other countries, the materials of Federal Agency of Air Transport of Russia (Rosaviatsia) said.
Rosaviatsia underlined that Russia made such proposals during consultations between aviation administrations of Uzbekistan and Russia.
The Russian aviation administration said that the Russian side offered three-year test period to carry out passenger flights with right of “fifth freedom” between Sochi and any other point in the third country on selection of the Uzbek side. The term can be prolonged after analysis of the results.
Earlier, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov stated that the Russian Government is considering to introduce “fifth freedom” regime at Sochi Airport.
During the meeting of aviation bodies, Uzbekistan and Russia discussed issues of increasing and selecting frequencies of flights between two countries, providing additional services at airports of two nations.
The sides also considered opportunities on use of self-service registration kiosks at Tashkent airport.
