On 18 December 2007, a founding conference of the China Central Asia Friendship Association (CCAFA) was held at the hall of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi sent a congratulation letter to the conference.
