Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 22 December, the Iranian airline Qeshm Air will link Tehran with two cities of Uzbekistan - Tashkent and Samarkand.
The opening of flights is the result of agreements between the leadership of Uzbekistan and Iran, reached during the official visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, to our country in September this year. In particular, during the visit, a program of cooperation in the field of tourism was adopted, aimed at simplifying a number of visa procedures and enhancing tourist flows between Iran and Uzbekistan.
Direct regular flights are launched from 22 December on the routes Tehran-Tashkent-Alma-Ata-Tehran and Tehran-Samarkand-Tehran. Flights will be carried out on comfortable Airbus 320 aircraft, initially with a frequency of once a week. In case of a positive response from passengers, the number of flights will increase.
Qeshm Air is an Iranian airline headquartered in Tehran, founded in 1993, which operates scheduled domestic and international passenger flights, as well as charter flights.
