Capital of Kapitalbank grows 2.02 times in Jan-Sep 09

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Own capital of open joint-stock commercial bank Kapitalbank rose 2.02 times in nine months of 2009 and made up 42.6 billion soums, the bank said in a statement on 13 October.

The bank said loan portfolio grew by 16.8% to 147.9 billion soums in the reporting period. Aggregate assets reached 366.7 billion soums. Balance of deposits rose by 30.2% in the reporting period, the bank added.

As of 1 October 2009, balance of population deposits increased by 39.6% in January-September to 67.1 billion soums.

Kapitalbank said its seven branches and 39 mini-banks, as well as operation department serve over 730,000 clients, both individuals and legal entities.

Kapitalbank issued 30,000 banking cards, which grew twice year-on-year, and installed 742 terminals in trade and service points.
