Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, 22 January, at 07:15 local time, an Uzbekistan Airways flight with the first 241 pilgrims took off from Tashkent to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). According to preliminary data, two more flights are scheduled for 25 and 28 January.
According to the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, first of all, the lists of pilgrims included Uzbeks who could not make the Hajj during the pandemic and paid for the trip until the end of February 2020.
It is worth noting that Uzbeks who go on the Hajj must be fully vaccinated with drugs such as AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson, and also have the appropriate certificate.
Pilgrims from Uzbekistan must also carry a pack of 30 medical masks. Masks must be changed every four hours. There are fines for non-compliance with the mask regime in Saudi Arabia.
