Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Voluntary booster dose vaccination against coronavirus will be carried out in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan began mass vaccination against coronavirus on 1 April 2021.
In particular, to date, a total of 42 million 805 thousand doses of 6 types of COVID-19 vaccine have been delivered. It is also expected that 5.6 million doses will be delivered by the end of the year.
In accordance with the instructions of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to increase immunity against coronavirus infection among the population of the republic, from 17 November 2021, booster vaccination is allowed for citizens who have completed a full course of vaccination (2 or 3 doses) on a voluntary basis.
In this case, a booster dose can be received six months later from the moment of receiving the last dose, that is, the completion of the vaccination course.
