Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow prepares for the visit of the President of Uzbekistan in 2021

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Deputy head of the department Andrei Rudenko indicated that a solid package of documents will be signed during the visit, including in the defense sector, TASS reports.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko said that Russia is preparing for the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev this year, during which a solid package of documents will be signed, including in the defense sphere.
“We are preparing for the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan, which, we hope, will take place this year,” the diplomat said at the opening of the conference “Russia and Uzbekistan Facing Development and Security Challenges at a New Historical Stage of Interaction”.
“A very serious package of documents has been prepared. First of all, in the field of trade and economic cooperation, but also in other spheres, including defense,” noted Rudenko.
According to the Deputy Foreign Minister, Moscow and Tashkent expect this visit to become a truly historic milestone.
The organizers of the conference, which is taking place in the capital of Uzbekistan, are the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Valdai International Discussion Club.
