A new complex for the extraction and processing of gold ore to be built in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A new complex for the extraction and processing of gold ore at the Pistali deposit will be built in Uzbekistan. The project cost is about US$275 million.
The government of Uzbekistan has approved a feasibility study for the investment project "Construction of a complex for the extraction and processing of gold ores at the Pistali deposit (6-GMZ)".
According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the cost of the investment project is about US$274.67 million.
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant will allocate US$29.6 million of its own funds to finance the project. Another US$245.07 million is planned to be attracted through loans from foreign banks.
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant is the borrower responsible for the implementation of the investment project, repayment and servicing of loans from foreign banks.
The complex is expected to be commissioned in December 2024. The enterprise will create additional capacities for the extraction of 4 million tons of gold ore per year.
