Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the week, on holidays, on all TV channels of the country, at the initiative of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan, documentary and feature films about the resilience of Uzbeks who fought in World War II will be shown.
The presentation and screening of the masterpieces of Uzbek film classics from the Russian State Film Fund returned to our country will take place. The unique project became possible with the assistance of the World Society for the Study, Preservation of the Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan. The outstanding works of the Uzbek film heritage “You are not an orphan”, “Surgeon”, “General Rakhimov”, “Apples of 1941” and 10 more films digitized from reference copies will also be broadcast on the country’s TV channels on holidays. It is noteworthy that some of them will be shown for the first time in Uzbekistan in their original form.
- Last year, 8 feature films and more than 100 animated films from standard copies stored abroad were returned to Uzbekistan in digital form. This year we managed to return a number of films that we submitted for broadcasting on TV channels. The great trust placed in the cinema industry by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is a huge responsibility. And we are ready to work! The proof of this is the burning eyes of young filmmakers and their new works dedicated to the invaluable contribution of the Uzbek people.
A year ago, on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Honor, we held a nationwide TV premiere of the feature films "Ilhak", "101" and the documentary film "Khalk Jasorati". This year, together with the khokimiat of the Samarkand region, a documentary film "Matonat" by Shukhrat Makhmudov and a cycle of 8 documentaries "Unforgettable Heroes" by young filmmakers under the direction of director Ali Khamraev were shot, ”said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director General of the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency. - Our next work on this topic will be a military-historical feature film "Uzbek".
On the pre-holiday days of the media week, the premieres of the documentary "Matonat" and the historical drama "Meros" ("Heritage") directed by Khilol Nasimov about the love of an Uzbek boy and a Kazakh girl and the events of World War II took place. Another important event will be the premiere of the series of documentaries "Unforgettable Heroes". New films about the heroes of the war - Zebo Ganieva, Kudrat Suyunov, Inoyat Navruzbaev, Mamadali Topvoldiev and others will undoubtedly fall in love with the viewer.
