Practical aspects of Uzbek-Pakistani cooperation discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 April 2021, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov in the format of a video conference held negotiations with the adviser to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on commerce and investment Abdul Razzak Davud.
During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the state of implementation of mutual agreements in the trade, economic, transport, logistics and cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the progress of preparations for upcoming events at the highest level.
The practical aspects of cooperation on the implementation of the Mazar-i-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway construction project were discussed separately.
The parties touched upon the implementation of a number of promising joint projects in the fields of textile, leather, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, energy, agriculture and the tourism industry and expressed their commitment to providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs in resolving emerging issues.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to hold the VI meeting of the Uzbek-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as the Business Council with the participation of leading business circles of both countries in July this year in the city of Tashkent.
