Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gorky Automobile Plant has supplied 20 ambulances to medical institutions in Uzbekistan. 16 off-road vehicles "Sobol" and 4 mobile medical complexes "GAZelle NEXT" were manufactured for the republic by order of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan. The ceremony of handing over the machines took place within the framework of the INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition, which takes place from 5 to 7 April at the Uzexpocentre exhibition complex in Tashkent. GAZ also takes part in the exhibition as an exhibitor: the company presents cars for passenger transportation, utilities, educational institutions and healthcare at the exhibition.
The Gorky Automobile Plant handed over to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan 16 Sobol ambulances with off-road equipment and 4 mobile medical complexes GAZelle NEXT. The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation D.V. Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S.U. Umurzakov, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region G.S. Nikitin.
The mobile medical complex, created on the basis of the GAZelle NEXT minibus, is designed for field medical examinations, preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic measures. The mobile center consists of two independent modules that can be equipped with the necessary medical equipment and life support systems. In fact, these are two full-fledged medical offices, where doctors of different profiles can work in comfortable conditions. In the modules located in the minibus and trailer, vaccination points, functional diagnostics, dentistry, ophthalmology, cardiology, children’s and women’s health rooms, mobile fluorography and X-ray rooms, laboratories for various purposes, a mobile donor station, a urology office and much more can be created. In its basic design, the center consists of two medical offices with an area of up to 8 sq. m, each of which includes a couch for examining patients, a table for a doctor, as well as a set of cabinets and pedestals with mounts for various equipment. The offices have separate entrances and are equipped with isolated bathrooms. The use of mobile medical complexes helps to increase the availability of medical services in remote settlements where there are no stationary medical facilities.
The Sobol 4x4 ambulance combines high cross-country ability and a good level of comfort. High off-road performance is provided by the plug-in all-wheel drive, rear axle differential lock, high ground clearance and long suspension travel. The car has panoramic glazing, increased thermal and noise insulation, non-slip floor covering with waterproofing seams, side panels are finished with wear-resistant composite material. Outside lights allow you to illuminate the area adjacent to the side and rear doors. The car is equipped with 12V and 220V sockets, LED ceiling lighting strips, engine preheaters and autonomous interior heaters, oxygen supply systems and wheelchairs with removable stretchers. The luxury seats are made of special high-strength materials.
Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region:
- It is very significant that the choice when renewing the fleet of medical vehicles was made in favor of the equipment of the famous Gorky Automobile Plant - one of the symbols of Nizhny Novgorod and a key enterprise in the Russian automotive industry. In 1933, the first motor rally of GAZ cars - Moscow-Karakum - took place through the territory of Uzbekistan. Back then, cars passed a tough endurance test in hot climates. Today, the best traditions are combined with modern technologies. The engineering center is developing technology taking into account the requirements of various markets. Naturally, the export geography is expanding. Products are already supplied to 40 countries. Each new contract is a success. The machines handed over today will improve medical care for the residents of the republic, especially in remote settlements. The high quality of our machines was noted by colleagues from the government of Uzbekistan and doctors.
GAZ also demonstrated at the INNOPROM exhibition in Tashkent widely demanded vehicles for solving various social problems. The GAZ line of medical vehicles is presented at the exhibition by a sample of the GAZelle NEXT modular vehicle. For housing and communal services, a sample of the GAZon NEXT vacuum vehicle equipped with a YaMZ-530 CNG gas engine has been proposed. For passenger transportation - a low-floor minibus "GAZelle City", the production of which started at the Gorky Automobile Plant in May 2020. Another minibus demonstrated by GAZ is the GAZelle NEXT, equipped with everything necessary for the transportation of schoolchildren. All cars are a new generation of GAZ vehicles, created on the basis of modern technical solutions that ensure high functionality, comfort and safety of passengers and low cost of ownership for operating organizations.
