Applications are open for participation in the International Competition on Artificial Intelligence for Children

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acceptance of applications from schoolchildren for participation in the International Competition on Artificial Intelligence for Children in 2021 is open. The competition is organized by Sberbank in cooperation with the companies of the Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

The competition is held in order to popularize artificial intelligence technologies among children and youth, to involve and support children who have shown outstanding abilities in this direction around the world.

Participants will be able to compete in one of ten thematic areas: analysis of Earth sensing data, EdTech, security, recommendation services, finance, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, medicine and others.

The correspondence stage of the competition will start in January next year and will consist of two parts: first, participants will solve tasks on the competition website, then they will take part in a team round, within which they will not only offer a general solution, but also undergo individual tests for knowledge in the field of technology AI. Throughout the competition, teams will be accompanied by world-class experts from industry leaders.

Modern children are surrounded by new technologies from a very early age, which allows them to quickly master areas such as artificial intelligence. In some countries around the world, this is taught from kindergarten and school bench. In Russia, this direction is actively gaining momentum.

According to many studies, specialists who combine the competencies of their professions with AI, for example, data scientists, will be among the most in demand in the 21st century. This is also why, together with our partners in the AI Alliance, we want to use the potential of our companies and provide more opportunities for students, their teachers and mentors in schools and universities.
