Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences has developed a technology for bacteriostatic treatment of medical masks with silver and zinc oxide nanoparticles.
External tests carried out in September this year in a certified laboratory of the Siberian Federal University (Russia) demonstrated that the created technology creates a reliable barrier for the prevention of infections with pathogens and helps to guarantee the absence of pathogenic microbes on medical masks even with prolonged use, according to the website of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
There is a patent, technical conditions are registered, all the necessary certificates for the serial production of products are obtained. To date, the technological process has been worked out, a pilot batch has been manufactured, but investments are needed to launch serial production.
In order to find external funding, the development was presented at the week of innovative ideas in an online format - INNOWEEK 2020.
