UzLiDeP, OSCE/ODIHR observers hold talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting with the observers of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) and representatives of Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) was held in Samarkand.

As reported earlier, the OSCE/ODIHR observer mission arrived in Uzbekistan. The mission led by Ambassador Daan Everts will observe elections in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the guests familiarized with activities of UzLiDeP in Samarkand region and election campaign in the region, agitation process, etc.

The UzLiDeP officials also briefed the mission on priorities of the party in deepening market reforms and liberalizing economy, creating favourable business climate, etc.

The sides exchanged opinion on legal bases of elections, mechanisms of delivering goals of the party to voters, and other issues. The OSCE mission also received answers to their questions.
