Uzbekneftegaz expands cooperation with TATNEFT

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov held a meeting with the General Director of TATNEFT Nail Maganov at Uzbekneftegaz.

 

The meeting was also attended by the heads of Uzbekneftegaz, industry enterprises and organizations.

It was noted PJSC TATNEFT is one of the leading partners of Uzbekneftegaz.

Cooperation between the parties is developing dynamically. Strengthening ties is facilitated by regular meetings, at which prospects for bilateral cooperation, including the joint implementation of investment projects, were discussed.

The meeting allowed to discuss partnership issues in such areas as mechanical engineering, petrochemistry, geological exploration, field development and enhanced oil recovery, exchange of experience and training.

To date, the parties expressed interest in localization of the production of chain drives (PC-22) at JSC "Plant Uzbekhimmash" in conjunction with the Bugulma Mechanical Plant of Tatneft, development of fields, including the Pritashkentsky investment block, with the creation of a joint venture in Uzbekistan in the future.

Special attention was paid to exchange of experience and training for the oil and gas industry in the country. TATNEFT presented a list of educational program projects for managers and leading specialists in development of managerial, corporate and professional competencies, including internship programs for employees of Uzbekneftegaz.

The foreign side expressed interest in expanding research cooperation, in particular, on inclusion of prominent representatives of the research institutes of the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan into the Academy of Mining Sciences being established in Russia as permanent members. It was also proposed to conduct joint research work in such areas as shale oil and shale gas, the development of bitumen and heavy oil, monitoring of geodynamic changes using satellite observation systems and others.

In turn, the Uzbek side offered TATNEFT to participate in the operation of the Fergana refinery and expressed its willingness to consider mutually beneficial forms of cooperation. Representatives of a foreign company showed interest in participating in the project and organizing joint visits to the production sites of the plant.

In addition, the partners were invited to conduct an Olympiad in summer recreation camps of Uzbekneftegaz and the participation of Uzbek schoolchildren in social projects of TATNEFT.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a "roadmap" for long-term cooperation and create a Coordinating Council to promote the development of bilateral relations in all areas.
