Tashkent intends to take measures for development of road and transport infrastructure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures for the further development of road and transport infrastructure in the city of Tashkent” was published for discussion.
The document proposes the creation of the state unitary enterprise “Toshkent transport”.
In 2019-2021, the company will introduce a unified concept of public transport stops, providing the necessary conditions for persons with disabilities, WiFi and an electronic scoreboard, showing the remaining time before the arrival of the next public transport vehicle.
There will also be introduced a system of automated accounting and payment acceptance upon entering (leaving) buses, excluding human participation.
It is planned to organize a unified center for managing the parking space of the city of Tashkent and the “Evacuation Service of the Tashkent City Khokimiyat” to evacuate vehicles in case of violation of traffic regulations, non-payment of parking services, accidents and other cases in the prescribed manner.
The document proposes the creation of a single call-center for receiving and processing citizens’ appeals on transport and road infrastructure of the city.
On the basis of the “Computerized Traffic Safety Management System” a single center will be created to manage all the traffic lights of the city of Tashkent online.
The document envisages expansion of the automated system of photo-video recording of violations of traffic rules with special automated technical means.
Measures will be taken to integrate the System with a single information system for compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners to verify the availability of a civil liability insurance policy online and with a single database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to verify the availability of technical inspection of vehicles and gas equipment online.
"Tashkent Transport" will monitor and coordinate the movement of passenger transport, all utility and emergency services (regardless of their organizational and legal form and departmental subordination), create conditions for the unimpeded movement of ambulance cars and fire services, using GPS equipment installed on them.
