Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 December 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to our country Takashi Hatori. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The meeting began with the ceremony of presenting copies of credentials by the Ambassador to the Minister, who congratulated him on taking office and wished him success in his professional activities.
During the conversation, issues of further development of the Uzbek-Japanese relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were discussed.
It was noted with satisfaction that the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019 made it possible to establish a high level of trust and mutual understanding, to create the necessary mechanisms to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas. The necessity of taking effective measures to accelerate the practical implementation of all agreements reached at the highest level was emphasized.
The schedule and organizational aspects of the upcoming joint events, including Central Asia + Japan Dialogue, were considered.
The parties expressed interest in building up trade and economic relations and intensifying contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
An agreement was reached to continue cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place on certain international and regional issues.
