Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan gets acquainted with agricultural activities in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Annageldi Yazmyradov visited the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The guest was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Ganiev, Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov and Minister of Water Resources Shavkat Khamraev.
A special small exhibition was organized for the guest at the Ministry of Agriculture with the participation of subordinate organizations. During which Deputy Minister Alisher Turaev made presentations on the work carried out in the field of agriculture.
The meeting was held at the Center for Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kakhramon Yuldashev presented the programs and projects launched in the sphere.
In turn, the Turkmen side offered cooperation in this direction, and following the results of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on signing a Memorandum of Understanding. This Memorandum is planned to provide for such issues as advanced training of Turkmen specialists in the field of clonal, virus-free, in-vitro reproduction of plants.
Annageldi Yazmyradov got acquainted with the activities of the Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU) and the International Agricultural University (IAU) under the Ministry of Agriculture.
During the visit to TSAU, the activities of the in-vitro laboratory, created at the Center for the Development of Seed Production, the Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking named after A.I. Academician M. Mirzaev and the work carried out in this area.
A number of scientific works of the faculties and departments of TSAU and students studying at the basic doctoral studies were also presented.
A dialogue was held with IAU students. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the further development of bilateral cooperation.
