A delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13-14 October 2021, a regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Minsk, in which a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov took part. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The participants of the event exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda and interaction within the framework of the Organization.
The organizational and substantive aspects of the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth Member States were discussed. In particular, a number of draft documents submitted for consideration by the CIS Summit were considered and agreed upon.
Following the meeting, a Joint Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS member states was adopted on strengthening the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons, the Regulations on the International Association (Commission) of Historians and Archivists of the CIS member states and the Plan of multilevel inter-ministerial consultations within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States for 2022 and other documents were approved.
